Nature/Fine Art Photographer
I'm a professional photographer living in Baltimore, Maryland. My work
is leased for greeting cards, calendars, CD covers, church bulletins,
magazine covers, book jackets, specialty gift items, fine art prints
and posters. Clients include Nikon, Shutterbug magazine, National
Wildlife Federation, Hallmark Cards, Fujifilm, etal.
I maintain an active speaking schedule as guest lecturer on the subject
of nature photography at universities, community colleges, camera
clubs, and professional photography organizations.
My work is featured in Shutterbug magazine on an ongoing basis for
composition articles and was also featured in articles in the Baltimore
Sun, and Meridians Magazine (National accupuncture journal). I was
'artist in residence and director at the Holt Center for the Arts in
Baltimore from 1995-1997. Also, was awarded an artist in residency at
Harper's Ferry N.P., WV, June-July 1998.
After working as staff instructor with The Great American Photography
Weekend from 1991 through 1994, I started the "Art of Nature
Photography Workshops" company based in Baltimore, MD. "Art
of Nature Photography Workshops" is active year round conducting
weekend workshops at venues throughout the United States. I conduct
workshops at community colleges throughout Maryland and am on staff at
the Washington School of Photography and Anne Arundel CC, and
Montgomery College.
As a member of the Great American Photography Weekend workshop company,
I was fortunate to have worked closely with renowned nature and
wildlife photographers Art Wolfe, John Shaw, Pat O'Hara, Rod Planck,
Galen Rowell, and Bryan Peterson. I am a member of the
Baltimore/Washington chapter of the ASMP and am a member of Fuji film's
Talent Team 2000.
I am represented by Phillip T. Edgerly in Japan and Europe, Orion Stock
agency, and Woodfall Wild Images.
