Portraits of Mother Nature
Since purchasing his first camera in 1981, Richard Mousel has been
capturing unique, colorful, and sometimes humorous portraits of mother
nature in her finest hours. To market his work, Richard established
"The Colour Outdoors", an outdoor photography business in Fort Benton,
Montana.
In 1999 Richard's brother Andrew joined him in the business, opening a new gallery "Fox-Park Gallery" in
Montana's capitol city, Helena. Phone 1-866-Fox-Park (369-7275).
The Life Of A Wildlife Photographer..... To capture these award-winning
images, Richard has spent countless hours in the field. Siting in a
small blind all day to witness the animals undisturbed, to crawling on
his belly, with face paint and camouflage from head to toe, even using
skunk scent to blend with nature. Through swamp and rocky cactus
infested prairie, stalking ducks in knee-deep mud or photographing for
hours in sub zero degree weather chest deep in water. The rewards for
Richard have been worth the patience required. You may have passed him
on the road as he has traveled throughout North America in search of
his elusive subjects. Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana,
Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, New
Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Minnesota, Illinois, British Columbia, Alberta,
and Manitoba.
Credits..... Richard's images have won numerous awards including 1st,
2nd, and HM at the International Wildlife Film Festival. His photos
that have graced the pages of some of the worlds most prestigious
